As a co-owner and managing partner of Monkee’s, LLC, Dee Dee places her focus on expansion and the development of new retail locations.  After her time as a sales rep for Armani, Dee Dee realized her passion for the retail business and turned her focus to starting her own women’s shoe and clothing boutique in Wilmington, North Carolina.  Her knowledge of the industry, as well as her dedication to making all Monkee’s stores a success allows her to provide the necessary advice and guidance to all owners and employees.  Dee Dee resides in Wilmington and enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband Harry and her two sons, Riley and Harris.

Brenda Maready

Managing Partner, Monkee’s LLC
Owner/Operator, Monkee’s of the Village
Brenda is a co-owner and managing partner for Monkee’s LLC.  She focuses on the development of organizational objectives and strategic plans for the company.  Her long history in the retail industry allows her to provide a unique insight to store owners on growing and maintaining a successful retail store.  Brenda lives in Winston-Salem with her husband Bill and Spoticus, her bulldog.  Her greatest joys are traveling with family, gardening and decorating.  Brenda attributes her high energy level and youthful outlook on life to all of the wonderful store employees and owners she is around daily.

Andrea Rice

Vice President, Sales
Andrea focuses on Monkee’s long-term store expansion efforts and growing the Monkee’s brand.  She has an entrepreneurial spirit and early in her career founded a successful technology company.  This experience provided her with a diverse background in sales, marketing and operations, enabling Andrea to understand the unique needs of business owners.  One of her greatest enjoyments is helping others achieve their professional goals.  She has been recognized as a “40 Leaders Under 40″ and “Movers & Shakers” in her community.  She received her bachelors degree in Business Administration from Meredith College.  Andrea lives in Lewisville, NC with her husband, daughter and son.  She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and hosting social events for her friends.

Brenn Kennedy

Retail/Buying Consultant, Monkee’s LLC
Vice President, Monkee’s of the Village
Brenn provides merchandising and buying consulting services to the Monkee’s store owners, as well as pre-store opening services for new store owners.  With a great eye for upcoming fashion trends and a flair for merchandising stores, her expertise is highly regarded in the Monkee’s organization.  In addition to the support services she provides the Monkee’s stores, she also operates Monkee’s of the Village.  Brenn lives in Winston-Salem, NC with her husband and Glacier, her Siberian Husky.  Brenn spends much of her energy running her successful retail operation; however, on the rare occasion she does relax she enjoys watching reality television and working out at her local gym.

Nicole Powell

Marketing Manager
Nicole manages advertising and marketing initiatives for all of the Monkee’s stores. She handles everything from designing advertising and sending email marketing campaigns, to managing corporate branding efforts. She is our in-house expert in Photoshop, Illustrator, video/audio editing, website management and more. Nicole lives in Wilmington, NC with her husband and 3-year-old son. She loves living near the ocean, and spends every warm weekend building sand castles.
