Monkee’s Franchise Makes Its Way to Mississippi
Grand Opening in Ridgeland Scheduled for August 17th
August 2019 – Monkee’s, an upscale women’s boutique franchise that features designer shoes, clothing, and accessories, is scheduled to open its first store in Ridgeland, Mississippi at 10:00 am on August 17th. The store will be located at 1000 Highland Colony Parkway, Suite 7001, in the Renaissance at Colony Park.
Local store owner Suzanne Ketchings is a native Mississippian. She grew up in North Carolina, where she was first introduced to the Monkee’s brand as a shopper. After moving back to Mississippi and attending college and law school at Ole Miss, Ketchings decided to fulfill her dream of owning her own retail business.
“As a customer, Monkee’s was always my go to for every occasion. I fell in love the comfortable, stylish and fun atmosphere of the Monkee’s stores. So, when it came time to open my own store, Monkee’s was a natural fit,” said Ketchings.
The Renaissance at Colony Park is already filled with great specialty retail and dining. Ketchings says her Monkee’s store will be a perfect fit at the popular shopping destination.
“I am thrilled to bring the Monkee’s shopping experience to Mississippi and to offer personalized service to our customers in the Jackson area and beyond,” said Ketchings.
The Grand Opening celebration includes trunk shows by Anna Cate, Anchor Beads and Ashleigh Kirby Designs.
Ridgeland will be the first Monkee’s location in Mississippi and the 28th independently owned and operated Monkee’s boutique in the southeast. The opening is part of an aggressive expansion by Monkee’s Franchising, LLC to bring to brand to unique markets nationwide.
Designed to look like your (well-heeled) girlfriend’s closet, the boutique’s signature chandeliers, comfy couches and stunning shoe galleries are all staples in a Monkee’s store.
